Osian is 24 years old and is from Tycroes in South Wales. He is a former Head Boy at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman in Ammanford. He graduated from the very prestigious Royal Academy of Music in 2023 with a BMus (Hons) degree in Vocal Performance and Opera Studies. He recently graduated from the Masters Degree in Musical Theatre with an Distinction, also at at the Royal Academy of Music.
As part of his studies, Osian performed the role of John Hinkley in ‘Assassins’ by Stephan Sondheim, directed by Ed Stambollouian.
He also performed in Spring Awakening in the Suzie Sainsbury Theatre directed by Hannah Chissick, choreographed by Shay Barklay and Lauren Stroud. He played the roles of Ernst and Georg where he received great reviews.
Since graduated Osian has performed in a number of professional events. He kicked this off by performing in a workshop for a new musical, ‘The Golden Door’ directed by Amanda Noar, musically directed by Jamie Noar and written by Brian Degaz and Phil Lanzon.
Osian also performed in Chorus Productions ‘I Am Harvey Milk’ at Codogan Hall alongside Joel Harper Jackson, Sierra Bergess and a choir of fifty men. During this process the legendary composer of the piece, Andrew Lippa was coach and mentor for the whole ensemble. This production has been nominated for a ‘WhatsOnStage’ award for best concert.
Osian is a member of the world-famous Philharmonia Chorus. Osian has performed with the chorus at numerous concerts, including at The Royal Festival Hall with the Philharmonia Orchestra and at the Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Osian has also performed in a wide variety of concert in Wales. He has performed at many prestigious events including alongside the Morriston Orpheus choir, Pendyrus Male Choir, at the 2022 Brecon Choir Festival with Dunvant Male Choir and Aberhonddi and District Male Choir, Llanelli’s Ffwrnes Theatre, All Saints Oystermouth and Dinas Powys.
In 2018 Osian was invited to sing in a Gala Concert in S’Hertogenbosch, Holland as part of the prestigious WW2 Liberation Concert. He was invited by Loud Applause Rising Stars (LARS) of which Osian was a member for seven years.
Osian attended the Junior Conservatoire at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff and won a major competition there – ‘The Betty Richards’ prize.
As part of the Cardiff Singer of the World week Osian was selected for a masterclass by Dame Felicity Lott at the Dora Stoutzker Concert Hall at the RWCMD. His accompanist for the Masterclass was none other than Llŷr Williams.
As well as his solo work, Osian has always had a passion for performing and has taken part in many youth productions including playing Marius in Les Misèrables, Danny in Grease, Link in Hairspray, Horton in Seussical and Mr Warbucks in Annie.
A highlight for Osian as a young performer was successfully auditioning for the Urdd production of Les Misèrables, securing the part of Courfeyrac in the show. It ran for five performances at the Millennium Centre in Cardiff and he performed on the West End stage as part of the show’s 30th Anniversary celebrations.
Osian has also appeared on S4C’s Heno and Noson Lawen programmes, and was a guest soloist on Rhys Meirion’s 20th Anniversary Tour.
Osian has completed many music exams including Grade 5 Piano, Grade 5 Music Theory, Grade 8 Musical Theatre and a Diploma in Classical singing (where he scored 100%).
